Team members, roles and permissions

Manage your team from Settings → Members.

Roles

  • Owner — everything, including billing and firm settings.
  • Attorney — full case work: demands, settlements, trust actions, template approval.
  • Case manager — day-to-day case work: records, tasks, client communication.
  • Staff — support work with limited financial access.

Permissions are enforced in the database, not just the interface — someone without a permission can't perform the action even by crafting a request.

Inviting someone

Invite by email. The invitation email comes from Clerkly and links to your firm's sign-up. Each active member uses a seat; your plan's included seats and any extras show in Settings → Billing.

Removing someone

Removing a member ends their access immediately. Their work — tasks, notes, audit entries — stays attributed to them.
