E-signatures and retainer packets

Clerkly sends signature packets through Dropbox Sign and tracks them automatically.

Retainer packets

From a case, send a retainer e-sign packet: Clerkly merges your firm's approved retainer template with the case's fee terms, adds the HIPAA authorization, and emails it to the client for signature.

Tracking

The case shows the packet's status — sent, viewed, signed or declined — updated automatically the moment Dropbox Sign reports a change. The signed document lands in the case file, locked, with a timeline entry.

Safety rules

  • Only approved templates can be sent — draft wording can't go out by accident.
  • Signature requests go to the email address on file for the client, never an address typed at send time.
  • Until your firm switches Dropbox Sign to live mode, packets run in test mode and are not legally binding.
