Case documents, versioning and Bates stamping

Every case has a document file. Documents are stored per firm and case, and can only be added through Clerkly's controlled path — so storage locations, versions and locks can't be bypassed.

Uploading and classifying

Upload files up to 15 MB. The AI can classify documents (medical record, bill, correspondence, pleading and so on) and extract key details, but a person confirms the classification.

Versions

Saving a new version of a document keeps the full history — you can always view or restore an earlier version.

Bates stamping and packages

Build production packages with automatic Bates numbering: choose the documents, set the prefix and starting number, and Clerkly produces a stamped PDF package with an index.

Locked documents

Signed documents (retainers, settlement statements) and confirmed records lock against editing. A locked document can be superseded by a new version, never silently changed.
